• But First Coffee!

ZoFi began as a project to support a friend raising money for charity, but I found so much joy in the creative process that I decided to take the leap and turn a passion into a business. I wish I was one of those people that wake up early, do a work out and feel empowered to take on the day...but I am more of a slow to wake up and lots and lots of coffee kind of person. Luckily the coffee pot is close to my studio desk, and nothing makes me happier than getting into the studio.

  • Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Self-Care

One of the main focuses of my business is keeping it as local and sustainable as possible.

I source leather as close to home as possible, and the majority of my pieces are made from remnants from larger projects that would otherwise make its way to a landfill. I do my best to have basic colors like blacks and neutrals available at all times; however, because I use remnants you never know what you are going to get (love the surprise!). Sometimes I can get a really fun piece of leather, but when it's gone, it's gone!

The second part of my business that brings me joy is giving back. A portion of the proceeds are donated to a local charity to help those in need.

And last but not least, self-care. I believe that being there for those you love starts with self-care. Whether it is going for a run, reading with a cup of tea, or treating yourself to something nice...it is important to put yourself first sometimes.

  • Earring Care

    • Avoid getting the leather wet. Rain and snow are fine, but no showers or spontaneous swimming!
    • Remember to wear the plastic backings. The earrings are very lightweight and you don't want to find yourself with only one earring at the end of the day.
    • Store the earrings in the zip-close baggie. This will reduce tarnish, but don't worry if you forget. Use a jewelry cleaning cloth to get them sparkling again.
    • Leather lotion is best for cleaning the leather, but you can also use a slightly damp cloth to remove make-up or dirt.
    • Have fun, and enjoy the little things in life!

Handcrafted Leather Jewellery

No two pairs are exactly the same. Each piece is hand crafted in my home studio in beautiful Bedford, Nova Scotia.

The name ZoFi comes from my children's names, Finley and Zoe. While being a mother is my most important job, I wanted to show them that you can pursue your dreams and do anything you set your mind to. My family is my loudest cheering section, and my daughter is always eager to help with my little business. What more could a girl ask for!
